| Bio The Buzz - The Grift, from Burlington, VT, delve into a variety of musical genres. Their energetic live shows weave tight vocal harmonies and catchy guitar hooks over DJ-laced grooves. The Grift sound includes drums, bass, guitar, turntables and trumpet. The band is comprised of talented multi-instrumentalists who tour relentlessly throughout the Northeast and beyond, playing over 150 shows a year. Despite their improvisational chops and Vermont license plates, the focus is indeed on their clever, catchy songwriting and layered harmonies. In June of 2004, the band recorded their second studio album, "Life Beyond Aluminum" with the help of veteran producer, Gary Mallaber (Van Morrison, Steve Miller Band, Bruce Springsteen) and engineer, Greg Tobler (Norah Jones, David Bowie). By virtue of their strong live show, well-produced studio albums and rabid internet downloads of their music, The Grift's devoted grassroots following continues to grow. |
